
16 Feb CIDESD researchers promote Project “Meno(s)Pausa+Movimento”
The Project “Meno(s)Pausa+Movimento”, developed by the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in partnership with the City Council of Penafiel and the North Regional Health Administration.
“MENO(S)PAUSA+MOVIMENTO” is aimed at women after menopause, promoting a more active lifestyle, through the practice of physical exercise, contributing to their health and well-being.
The project has the scientific and pedagogical supervision of two researchers from Cidesd – Center for Research in Sport, Health and Human Development, Professor Catarina Abrantes and Professor Helena Moreira, professors at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, together with with Professor Ronaldo Gabriel and involves the participation of 100 women residing in the municipality of Penafiel. It also has the participation of several students from the 3rd cycle course in Sport Sciences at UTAD and research fellows.
