Liliana Mendes is an Assistant Professor at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and a Researcher at the Coimbra Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Translational Research (CIBIT), Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra. Her research focuses on Neuroimaging and Clinical Neuroscience.

She recently completed her postdoctoral research at the Institute for Nuclear Sciences Applied to Health (ICNAS), University of Coimbra. Liliana holds a PhD in Psychology-neuropsychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Porto. Additionally, she has completed a PhD course in Sports Sciences with a specialization in Sport, Excellence, Well-being, and Human Development, at the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto.

Liliana Mendes is a Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology, a Specialist in Neuropsychology, and a Specialist in Work, Social, and Organizational Psychology, granted by the College of Specialties of the Portuguese Psychologists Order.

Her primary teaching and research interests revolve around adult clinical neuropsychology, focusing on neuropsychological rehabilitation and virtual reality intervention.
