Francisco Saavedra has a Master and PhD in Sport Sciences and is Assistant Professor at Sports Sciences, Exercise and Health Department at University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). He is member of the Pedagogical Council, School of Life and Environmental Sciences, UTAD. He is Director of the Master Course in Sport Sciences, specialization in Assessment and Exercise Prescription (UTAD), Vice-Director of the Master Course in Sport Sciences, specialization in Fitness Activities (UTAD) and vowel of the direction of the Doctoral Course in Sport Sciences (UTAD). He is Researcher at the Research Centre for Sport Sciences, Health & Human Development (CIDESD-FCT) and his research area focuses on physical activity as a health factor and on the influence of morphological, genetic and lifestyle factors, across the life span. He is Full Member at the Scientific Committee of the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation – Gymnastics National School (ENGym).
