Filipe Maia owns a BSc (2018) in Physical Education and Sports, and a MSc (2020) in High Performance Training, all from University of Maia.  Currently, Filipe Maia is developing his PhD at University of Maia, studying the effects of novel strategies on the kinetics of sports recovery, and has a PhD scholarship (2022) awarded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. His main research interests relate to monitoring fatigue and recovery, strength and conditioning, and improving and controlling physiological determinants of sports performance. Filipe is also a track and field and swimming coach.
