Filipe Rodrigues is a Professor at Escola Superior de Desporto de Rio Maior (ESDRM – IPSantarém), lecturing behavioral change models, statistical analysis in physical activity, health psychology and leadership in the sport context. In addition, he is a Ph.D. student and researcher at the Beira Interior University (UBI).
His research focuses on motivational and cognitive theories to understand health-related behavior change in diverse domains. Other areas of research interest include health psychology, interpersonal behaviors, coaching, neuropsychology, and exercise prescription.
He has been working in the fitness industry since 2011, working mainly with the institutionalized elderly and chronic disease patients. Since then, my professional backgrounds includes several years working in logistics, human resources, exercise prescription, and behavior change strategies.
