Catarina C. Santos holds a BSc degree in Sports – Minor in Physical Exercise and Well-being by the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda (IPG). Currently, she is a MSc Biokinetics student at University of Coimbra (UC) and submitted her dissertation entitled “Kinetic analysis of two water fitness exercises: horizontal adduction and rocking horse”. She is also a PhD Sport Science student at University of Beira Interior (UBI).
In 2019, she had a research fellowship from Research Unit for Inland Development (UDI), under the Trails4Health project funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and FEDER. She collaborates, as a student member, with Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) since 2018.
Her main research interest is focused on biomechanics domain applied to swimming performance and to health-related water activities.
