Bruno Gonçalves is holding a postdoctoral grant under the project Symbiotic Technology for Societal Efficiency Gains: Deus ex Machina (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro) and is currently a researcher at the Research Center in Sports Sciences, Health Sciences and Human Development (CIDESD).

Bruno is an invited professor in the undergraduation Physical Education and Sport course and in Master’s degree in Sport Training at the University Institute of Maia (ISMAI). He has also been football coaching lecturer for Level 1, 2, and 3 (UEFA B License) under performance analysis discipline.

His main research interest has been on sports performance data analysis, with focus on the determinants of collective movement behaviour in team sports. He is an experienced positional-data analyst and has developed academic research and consultance to elite sports clubs.
