XXV CONFERENCE OF THE PORTUGUESE SOCIETY OF SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY
.
‘Uniting Generations, Defining New Paths, Sustaining the Future of Sports Psychology in Portugal’
.
Ten years after the last (and 25 years after the first) edition of the SPPD Days held at the Rio Maior Sports School (ESDRM) of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (IPSantarém), it is with great satisfaction and enthusiasm that ESDRM-IPSantarém is once again organising this event in a fruitful and long-standing partnership with the Portuguese Society of Sports Psychology (SPPD).
The XXV SPPD Conference will be held in Rio Maior on 8 and 9 November, with two intense days of work, including plenary lectures, symposia, round tables and free papers (including the traditional António Paula Brito research prize), under the theme ‘Uniting Generations, Defining New Paths, Sustaining the Future of Sports Psychology in Portugal’, is aimed at all those interested in the phenomenon of sport and exercise psychology (psychologists, sport and exercise psychologists, physical education teachers, coaches, exercise technicians, sports managers, higher education lecturers and researchers, students, athletes and exercisers).
In this context, we want the XXV SPPD Conference to be, as it has always been, not only a moment to demonstrate the vitality and scientific quality of this area of knowledge in Portugal, through reflection on the scientific (and professional) activity of psychologists and sports professionals, but above all, a moment of unity and fraternity between people and institutions, around what unites us: Sport and Exercise Psychology.
For this reason, the Organising Committee of the XXV SPPD Conference, the ESDRM Board and the SPPD Board welcome all participants. It is a privilege and an honour to be able to welcome you to the Rio Maior School of Sport and to the city of Rio Maior, and to count on your presence, which will certainly do much to dignify this event, which is the most important technical scientific event in Portugal in the area of Sport and Exercise Psychology.
