Ximing Shang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science from China and an MSc in International Master of Performance Analysis in Sport (IMPAS), completed across Germany, Lithuania, and Portugal. He has experience as an innovation researcher and production manager for high-performance sports equipment, having worked with companies like Coros and FILA China.
Currently, Ximing is a Ph.D. candidate in Sports Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, supervised by Professors Nuno Leite and Jorge Arede. His research focuses on Talent Identification and Development (TID) and Sport Performance Analysis, with a strong emphasis on applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in sports contexts.
Ximing’s innovative work has been recognized with numerous prizes, awards, and financial backing from both national and international organizations, including INOV@UTAD, the Portugal-China Young Entrepreneurs Association (AJEPC), the European Innovation Academy (EIA), and Santander Bank.
