Teresa Paula Dias Figueiras. She completed her Ph.D. in Sports Sciences in 2009 at the University of Porto – Faculty of Sports. She has a master’s degree in Sports Science, completed in 1995 and a degree in Physical Education and Sports, completed in 1989 at the same institution. She is Assistant Professor at the University of Maia – UMaia. She was Coordinator of the Degree Course in Physical Education and Sport in 2011/2012 and Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences from 2012 to 2018. Also, from 2012 to 2018 she was a member and vice president of the Scientific Council. She is member of the Life Quality Research Center (CIEQV). Preferred teaching areas and research lines are Swimming and Aquatic Activities, Positive Psychology, Well-being, and Positive Youth Development.

Also, to develop international projects in dual careers, violence against athletes, and the promotion of sustainable sports for all.
