PhD in Sport Science, specifically in Sport Pedagogy. Research focused on Pedagogical Models in the context of Physical Education and Sports Training. In addition, more recently, research also has been focused on Physical Education teachers’, namely the development of Reflective Practice. Given the involvement in Volleyball as coach, former player, and coach educator, some of the academic work is also related with the sport. Several publications in peer-review journals and international scientific meetings, which span both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

Full-time Professor at the University of Maia and coordinator of the Physical Education Teacher Education program. International cooperation with several institutions, such as Auburn University, Western Michigan University, and University College Cork.
