Tiago Sousa is currently a PhD student at University of Beira Interior, the aim of the PhD project is to examine the acute and chronic effects of velocity-monitored resistance training on strength-related outcomes in older adults. The project is part of the “Stop Ageing” scope, a supervised strength training program that promotes improvements in physical condition in the older people. He has a scholarship granted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). He completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Science in the Exercise and Health field from University of Beira Interior (2018), with the dissertation entitled “Gender-variability of minimum foot clearance during walking in adults and elderly”. Received the recognition of Merit in Master’s Degree in Sports Science in the Exercise and Health field by University of Beira Interior (2019).
