Rui Matos holds a PhD in Human Movement Sciences and has a tenure position as a Professor at the Polytechnic of Leiria. He is the vice-President of the Scientific Council of the Education and Social Sciences Higher School of the Polytechnic of Leiria. He has a degree in Physical Education Teaching and a master’s degree in children Motor Development. His academic/research field is linked to Motor Development, Motor Competence, and their relationship with quality of life.
