After performing Master thesis in Sports Science – Recreation and Leisure (FADEUP), Portugal, Marília de Oliveira Moraes Neri Marinho received her PhD in Sports Science from the FADEUP in the frame of a research fellowship of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (2008-2013).
Between 2014 and 2017 she worked as an assistant professor in the physical education, where she was responsible for undergraduate courses of the Associação Caruaruense de Ensino Superior (ASCES / UNITA), Brazil. In this university centre, she was a member of the Structuring Professoriate Group and of the Council of the physical education undergraduate courses.
She is author of some publications, both at a national and international level. Her main research interests include: Physical Education, Quality of Life, Lifestyle, Exercise and Health, Subjective Well-Being related to the general population, as well as immigrants.
Currently, she works on collaboration with the Laboratory of Sport Psychology (FADEUP).
