Eduardo Abade is an assistant professor and Head of the Master’s Degree in Sports Training at University Institute of Maia (ISMAI). Eduardo has a PhD in Sports Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) and is currently a researcher at the Research Center in Sports Sciences, Health Sciences and Human Development (CIDESD). His research interests are related to strength and conditioning, physical and physiological profiles in team sports, injury prevention and return to play and workloads monitoring.

Eduardo has been practicing as strength and conditioning coach of several elite athletes, teams and the Portuguese Handball National Team. Eduardo is the author of several scientific papers published in national and international journals and was already distinguished with an honorable mention of the Portuguese Olympic Committee – COP / Millennium BCP Foundation in the field of Sports Training.
