Carla Afonso Varajidás is graduated in Special Education and Rehabilitation of the Piaget Institute, Almada. She development her professional activity as a psychomotor therapist with children with differents disabilities, in the clinical and aquatic environment. She has been developing her practice with adults with mental disabilities, with interesting about your ageing.

She has a master’s degree in Physical Education, specialization in Child Development from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Vila Real. She is a doctor of Sport Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro with work “Psychomotor Development Screening: Influence of risk factors and contribution of Psychomotricity”.

She is a member of the Portuguese Psychomotricity Association and she is a national magazine reviewer.

Currently is an Assistant Professor in the Sports and Health Department of the University Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.
