Ana Pereira is a sports scientist with interest in analyse the effect of exercise in different parameters of health with particular focus in design programme trainings for specific ageing groups.

Degree in physical education and sport and a doctor of Sport Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro with work in the analysis of genetic effect on physical performance. Professor of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal in the school of education. Perform her research in the area of physical exercise and health.

These outcomes were achieved in collaboration with several international centers and researchers with national and also international factor. Currently is a cocoordinator of Research Center in Education in the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (CIEF/IPS) and coordinator of the Degree in Sport at ESE/IPS.
