Álvaro Rogério Fortunato Vaz, completed, in 2021, at the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto, Doctoral Programme in Sports Science/Sport, Training and Performance, with the theme Periodization in High Performance Football. In the same institution, he held the Degree in Sports Science/Football Training, in 2009, and the Master in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education, in 2011. He is UEFA B Coach. He is a guest assistant teacher at School of Education of the Bragança Polytechnic University, where he teaches the curricular units of Team Sports/Football, Sports Pedagogy, Introduction to Professional Practice and supervises the preparation of dissertations of different master students. He is currently a collaborating member of the Research Centre in Sport, Health and Human Development (CIDESD) and his main areas of interest are the study of Football Training, Talent Development, Decision Making, Motor Competence and Sport Pedagogy.
