Pedro Sequeira is a professor at the Sport Sciences School of Rio Maior (@ESDRM), Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (@IPSantarém) (since 2005), researcher at the Research Center in Sport, Health and Human Development (CIDESD) (integrated member since 2023), and PhD in Sport Sciences by the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) (since 2005).

Currently he holds a position as Professor Coordinator at ESDRM (since 2008) and is member of the Scientific Council (since 2018) and President of the Pedagogical Council (since 2022). He is Coordinator of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Gaming and Esports (since 2023). He is President of Coaching Portugal (since 2014), Vice-President of the Portuguese Handball Federation (since 2016) and Chairman of the EHF Methods Commission (since 2021).

His academic filed and main research concerns are linked to Coach Education, Team Handball, High Performance, Sports Technology, Sport Digitalization and Gaming and Esports.
