Nuno Miguel Correia Leite was born in Vila Real in 1976. In 2008, finished his Ph.D. in Sport Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). Currently holds a position of Professor with habilitation at the UTAD, for teaching and researching in Performance Analysis, Sport for Children and Youth and Expertise and Long Term Athlete Development in bachelor, master and doctoral courses.

At this time holds a position at CIDESD. In the centre, he coordinates the Talentódromo, a national olympic‐research consortium that covers all Portuguese territory, specifically in the field of Talent Identification and Development.

His research activity is mainly focused in Performance Analysis in team sports, having produced over 50 publications in peer‐review journals. Some of these outcomes were achieved in collaboration with several reference international centers. He currently supervises PhD scholarships from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). His research projects guidelines and outcomes are frequently presented in several coaching courses from the Portuguese Federations of Football and Basketball and other sports. Holds a Level III Basketball Coach International Certificate and possesses a large training experience in basketball.
