Lisa Roque is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Universidade Europeia. She holds a first degree in Clinical Psychology (2004) from ISPA-Instituto Universitário. Lisa was awarded with a FCT fellowship (2005) and obtained her doctoral degree in Developmental Psychology (2010, ISPA) where she focused on the relationships between the quality of mother-infant attachment relationships, infant’s emotion regulation behavioral strategies and the dyad’s neuroendocrine reactivity to different emotional situations (anger, fear, positive affect). During her doctoral studies she conducted multidisciplinary work at the William James Research Center (ISPA) and at the Oliveira LabInstituto Gulbenkian de Ciência. Her current research focuses on the impact of potential traumatic events on eating behaviors, self-identity and secondary trauma in care providers. She is focused in mixed methods research, with the purpose of developing social interventions and tools for the general population.
