Ivone Carneiro is a BCs in physical education and sport (2015) and MSc in physical education teaching at elementary and secondary levels (2017) at ISMAI. Her research areas are exercise prescription, and health, physical fitness and quality of life improvement through innovative exercise programmes.
She is a PhD student at ISMAI (CIDESD) and has presented preliminary results from her PhD project in several scientific conferences (2019), namely, CIDESD International Conference, ECSS Conference, receiving the Young Investigator Award at the Football is Medicine Conference 2019.
Ivone is a co-author of a recently published paper on Maximal Heart Rate Assessment (SJMSS). She has received a Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology PhD scholarship (2019) to study the effects of a recreational team-handball-based exercise programme on cardiovascular, metabolic, musculoskeletal and physical fitness markers of inactive middle-aged and older male adults, which is a part of the Handball4Health project.
