Graça Sofia Monteiro Pinto has a Master Degree in Sport Science specialization in Evaluation and Prescription in Physical Activity and PhD in Sport Science. As Assistant Professor at Sports Sciences, Exercise and Health Department at University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) her major focus has been on fitness/health related contents.

As researcher at the Research Centre for Sport Sciences, Health & Human Development (CIDESD), she runs a project that monitories physical activity and sports as well as factors like fitness levels and inactivity, across the life span in Portugal Northern Region.
