According to the researcher, ‘this new position is a recognition of all the collective work that has been done by UBI and CIDESD in this area of knowledge, allowing our research center to be positioned as an international reference’.
Daniel Marinho adds that the ‘selection for this position was only possible thanks to the unquestionable support of the UBI Rectorate’, to whom he thanks, ‘allowing us to continue to strengthen relations between CIDESD and the main international partners, which are indispensable in the link between science and practice, and which must be strengthened and valued’.

In 2023, the Director of CIDESD was part of the COP delegation that took part in the European Youth Olympic Festival in Slovenia and won a Gold Medal for Rafael Mimoso in the 200m Breaststroke.
