Daniel Duarte, has a degree in Physical Education and Sport from the Instituto Superior da Maia, a Master’s and Doctorate in Sport Sciences from the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto, having investigated the success and effectiveness of the football coach in different competitive contexts.

He is currently a member of the Management Board of the Polytechnic Institute of Maia and Director of the Higher School of Social Sciences, Education and Sport of this Higher Education Institution. He is a member of N2i – Research Nucleus of the Polytechnic Institute of Maia and author and co-author of several scientific articles related to sport psychology and speaker at congresses and seminars, in the area of ​​study he is currently dedicated to, focused on professional skills and leadership in sport.

He is a Level II Football Coach, certified by the Portuguese Football Federation and Physical Exercise Technician certified by the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth. In this context, he collaborates with different federations in the training of coaches, and other organizations in the training of teachers and physical exercise coaches. He is the coordinator of the Maiêutica Healthy Campus project, which led the Maiêutica Academic Campus to the Platinum certification awarded by FISU (National Federation of University Sports).
