Bruno Travassos was born in Coimbra (1981). In 2011 finished his Ph.D in Human Motricity – Sport Sciences at the Faculty of Human Kinectics, University of Lisbon. Currently holds a position of Assistant Professor at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), with habilitation for teaching and researching Motor control and learning, and Practical Studies – Futsal in bachelor, Performance analysis in team sports in Master and Research seminars in doctoral courses. He is the director of the MSc in UBI and also the coordinator of CreativeLab.

His research activity is mainly focused in Decision-making and Performance analysis in team sports, having published several papers in peer-review journals, some books and book chapters. He is also member of the e-lab on Ecological Dynamics and Sports Performance, an international network with several reference international researchers that supports the development of some projects.

In 2012 wins the Young researcher award by the Portuguese Society of Sport Psychology and in 2013 wins a Ibero-American Grant for young researchers in partnership with University of São Paulo, Brasil. Frequently he is invited to participate in several futsal and football coaching courses from the Portuguese Football Federation and in other technical courses organized by other institutions. In last years he was first coach of a premier league Futsal team – AD Fundão.
