António Carlos Bettencourt Sousa is a degree in Sports Science from the University of Beira Interior in 2010, a Master’s Degree in Sports Science (2012) and a Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education (2014) from the University of Beira Interior. Currently is a PhD in Sports Science from the University of Beira Interior.

Its research themes and publications, fundamentally in the field of Sport Sciences, have focused on: Combined Training / Concurrent Strength and Resistance; Effect of warm-up on different modalities and age groups.

Received the best student award for Master of Science in Sport in 2012 and recognition of Merit in Master’s Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education in 2014 by the University of Beira Interior.

He is a collaborator in the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) and is fellowship in the under the NANOSTIMA project – Macro-to-Nano Human Sensing: Towards Integrated Multimodal Health Monitoring and Analytics.
