I graduated in Health Psychology and completed a MSc in Psychiatry and Mental Health, both at the University of Porto, Portugal. I hold a Ph.D. degree in Psychophysiology (University of Birmingham, UK) and received further training as a Research Associate at the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, University of Cambridge (UK), for over two years. I returned to Portugal to study the “Neuroinflammatory correlates of depression” as a Research Associate (I3S, University of Porto). I currently work as an Assistant Professor at Universidade Europeia (Portugal) where I read Experimental Psychology and Neuroscience, while conducting research at UNIDCOM. I’ve collaborated in several research projects and published in top ranked journals. My current research interests include the cognitive neuroscience correlates of (1) psychopathology, (2) experimental design for behavioural change, and (3) time perception and spirituality.
